A 1U rack server with a 3.7 GHz dual-core Pentium G7400, 64 GB DDR5 ECC memory, and a single 600 GB 10k SAS drive in a four-bay 3.5" chassis
The Dell PowerEdge R360 is a 1U rack server built around an Intel Pentium G7400 processor running at 3.7 GHz with two cores and four threads. It ships with 64 GB of DDR5 ECC memory across four 16 GB UDIMMs operating at 5600 MT/s. A single 600 GB SAS hard drive spinning at 10k RPM is installed in a 3.5-inch hybrid carrier within a chassis that supports up to four hot-plug drives.
This system replaces entry-level tower servers or aging 1U racks that lack DDR5 memory and 12 Gbps SAS connectivity. The jump is worthwhile when workloads need ECC memory integrity and hot-plug drive serviceability without moving to a redundant power supply. The Front PERC H355 controller provides hardware RAID for mixed drive types while the single 600 W supply keeps cabling simple.
Verify the rack depth accommodates a standard 1U chassis and that the facility provides NEMA 5-15 outlets for the two included 10-foot power cords. Confirm the operating system supports UEFI boot with GPT partitioning as the BIOS is configured for this mode. Note that no PCIe riser is installed so expansion cards cannot be added without the appropriate riser kit.

The 3.5" chassis supports up to four hot-plug drives and uses a front PERC H355 controller; standard 1U rack depth accommodates it.
The PERC H355 is a front-load module that slides into the dedicated front slot; the common miss is not fully seating the lever until it clicks.
The single 600W hot-plug supply runs at 100-240Vac; plan replacement when the system logs show degraded output or after the rated MTBF interval.
