A 1U rack server with dual 10-core Xeon processors at 2.3 GHz, 16 GB DDR4, three 300 GB 15K SAS drives and a PERC H330 RAID controller
Installed Memory Size 16GB
HDD 3 x 300GB
The Dell PowerEdge R430 is a 1U rack server equipped with two Xeon E5-2650 v3 ten-core processors running at 2.3 GHz, delivering 40 virtual cores with hyper-threading. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 memory across twelve DIMM slots and three 300 GB 15K SAS drives managed by a PERC H330 RAID controller supporting levels 0, 1, 5, 10, 50 and 60. The platform targets small-to-medium virtualisation clusters and database instances that fit within its current memory ceiling.
Confirm your rack can accommodate a chassis depth of 26.7 inches and that the single 550 W redundant power supply connects to your PDU configuration. The system supports up to 384 GB of DDR4 across twelve slots, but only 16 GB is installed; plan additional modules if your workloads demand more capacity. Four 1 GbE ports provide baseline connectivity, while two PCIe 3.0 slots limit add-in cards such as 10 GbE NICs or extra storage controllers.
Eight 2.5-inch hot-plug bays allow drive replacement without downtime, and the included DVD-ROM handles occasional media tasks. The iDRAC8 with Lifecycle Controller enables remote power cycling, firmware updates and console access over a dedicated management port. A Matrox G200eR2 video chip supplies basic local display, and the supplied rail kit eases initial rack mounting.

Other versions of this model
Three 300 GB 15 K 6 Gbps 2.5" SAS drives are installed with trays included; the remaining five 2.5" hot-plug bays are empty and ready for additional SAS or SATA drives.
Fill all 12 DIMM slots with 32 GB DDR4 modules; the board supports 4 GB, 8 GB, 16 GB or 32 GB sticks up to 2400 MT/s, actual speed depends on the installed Xeon E5-2650 v3 processors.
With hyper-threading enabled the two 10-core processors expose 40 logical threads to the operating system or hypervisor.
