1U rack server with dual Xeon E5-2630 v3 CPUs, 16GB DDR4, three 1TB SATA drives and H330 RAID controller
Installed Memory Size 16GB
HDD 3 x 1TB
The DELL PowerEdge R430 fits a single rack unit and runs two Intel Xeon E5-2630 v3 processors at 2.4 GHz, each providing eight cores and supporting hyper-threading for 32 virtual cores. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 memory are installed across the 12 DIMM slots, with the platform capable of up to 384 GB when fully populated. Three 1 TB 7.2 K SATA drives connect through the PERC H330 controller, which supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, 50 and 60 for flexible storage layouts.
A single 550 W redundant power supply helps maintain uptime if one module fails, while the chassis accepts up to eight 2.5-inch hot-plug SAS or SATA drives for tool-less replacement. Four 1 GbE ports handle network traffic, and two PCIe 3.0 slots leave room for additional controllers or accelerators. Remote management is provided by iDRAC8 with Lifecycle Controller, offering out-of-band access and firmware updates without an operating system.
The server measures 26.7 inches deep, so confirm your rack can accommodate that length before ordering. Memory expansion uses DDR4 modules up to 32 GB each at 2400 MT/s, with actual speed depending on the installed processors. No operating system is included, so plan for a separate licence or installation media. A DVD-ROM drive and power cable are supplied, while rails, bezel and drive trays are also included.
