Compact 1U rack server for dense deployments

The Dell PowerEdge R440 is a 1U rackmount server system built for business, data centre, virtualisation, cloud and storage workloads. It delivers dependable processing power in a space-efficient design that maximises rack density for growing IT infrastructure.

Upgrade from single-socket or older 2U platforms

Dual Intel Xeon Gold 5118 processors provide 24 total cores at 2.3 GHz with 3.2 GHz turbo for multi-threaded performance. The jump is worth it when consolidation, virtualisation density or database throughput demand more cores and memory bandwidth than a single-socket box can supply.

Verify rack depth, rail kit and drive carrier needs

This unit ships without front bezel or ready rails, so confirm your cabinet depth and mounting hardware before ordering. The 3.5-inch bays include fillers only; you must source compatible drive carriers and SAS or SATA drives separately. Ensure 12 Gb/s SAS/SATA controller and dual 550 W platinum power supplies match your power and cabling plan.
