Compact 1U rack server for dense deployments

The Dell PowerEdge R440 is a 1U rackmount server built for space-efficient data centre deployment. It delivers enterprise computing performance in a compact form factor suitable for virtualization, cloud infrastructure and storage workloads. Two Intel Xeon Gold 6130 processors run at 2.1 GHz with a 3.7 GHz turbo frequency.

Suited for virtualization

This configuration suits organisations that need balanced compute and memory for application hosting or database workloads in a dense rack environment. Buyers who require solid-state storage performance or additional drive bays beyond the four 3.5 inch slots should consider other platforms. The included PERC H730P controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60.

Four 4 TB enterprise hard drives

Storage capacity is provided by four Dell Enterprise 4 TB 7.2K SATA 6 Gb/s 3.5 inch hard disk drives managed by the PERC H730P 2 GB 12 Gb/s SAS/SATA controller with battery backup. Memory consists of 128 GB DDR4-2666 ECC registered DIMMs across eight slots. Dual 550 watt platinum power supplies and iDRAC 9 Express remote management complete the package.
