1U rack server with dual 10-core Xeon Silver 4114 CPUs, 16GB DDR4 ECC memory, H330 controller, eight 1.92TB SATA SSDs, dual Gigabit Ethernet, iDRAC9 Express, and redundant 550W power supplies
The Dell PowerEdge R440 is a 1U rackmount server built for space-efficient data centre deployment. It runs dual Intel Xeon Silver 4114 processors, each with 10 cores at 2.2GHz and 3.0GHz turbo. The system includes 16GB of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory and eight 1.92TB SATA SSDs behind a PERC H330 controller. It suits virtualization, cloud and storage workloads needing high density.
Two 550 watt platinum-efficiency power supplies provide redundant power for continuous operation. The 1U chassis uses integrated airflow to cool the processors, memory and eight 2.5-inch drives within a compact rack profile. iDRAC 9 Express enables remote thermal monitoring and power management without physical access. The dual-port gigabit ethernet adapter adds minimal heat load while maintaining connectivity.
The front panel holds eight 2.5-inch drive bays populated with 1.92TB SATA SSDs connected through the 12Gb/s SAS/SATA H330 controller. PCIe slots remain available for additional networking or storage adapters. The integrated dual-port gigabit ethernet adapter handles baseline connectivity. iDRAC 9 Express provides out-of-band management for headless operation. Front bezel and ready rails are not included.

New to this? Buying server hardware with crypto — what to check, what it costs to pay, and what is never asked for.
No published specifications for this item yet.
Seat the PERC H330 in a PCIe slot, connect the SAS cables to the backplane, then create the virtual disks in the controller BIOS before installing the operating system.
Monitor SSD wear through iDRAC 9 Express and replace any drive that reaches its endurance limit; swap a failed 550W supply hot-plug without shutting down.
The 2.2GHz base frequency is the sustained ceiling; the 3.0GHz turbo only holds while power and thermal headroom allow.
