A 1U rack server with dual 10-core Xeon Silver 4114 processors at 2.2GHz, 16GB DDR4, a PERC H730P RAID controller, and four 8TB SATA drives in redundant 550W power supplies
The Dell PowerEdge R440 is a 1U rackmount server system built for dense data-centre deployments. It ships with two Intel Xeon Silver 4114 processors, each running at 2.2 GHz with a 3.0 GHz turbo frequency and ten cores. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 ECC registered memory and a PERC H730P storage controller with battery-backed cache are included. Four 8 TB 7.2K SATA hard drives occupy the 3.5-inch bays, and dual 550 W platinum-efficiency power supplies provide redundancy.
This configuration suits organisations running virtualisation, application hosting or database workloads that benefit from dual-socket compute and high-capacity SATA storage in a single rack unit. The four-bay chassis and SATA interface limit raw drive count and peak throughput, so buyers who need more than four drive bays or who require faster storage interfaces should evaluate other platforms.
The installed PERC H730P controller with 2 GB cache supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through mode. This single component determines the available data-protection schemes and maximum logical volume sizes for the four installed drives.

Yes. The two Silver 4114 processors use the LGA 3647 socket and the installed 16 GB consists of DDR4-2400 ECC registered modules, matching that platform.
During POST the H730P BIOS will list each 8 TB SATA drive and show the 2 GB cache battery status; iDRAC9 Express then reports controller firmware version and drive SMART data remotely.
The supplier notes that front bezel and ready rails are not included; you will need to purchase compatible Dell rails and bezel for your rack separately.
