SKU CH-15QR-YEPGV

1U rack server with dual 16-core Xeon Gold 6130 CPUs, 256GB DDR4 ECC memory, HBA330 storage controller and redundant 550W power supplies

  • Dual Xeon Gold 6130 CPUs deliver 32 cores at 2.1GHz with 3.7GHz turbo
  • 256GB DDR4-2666 ECC memory ensures reliable high-capacity workload performance
  • PERC HBA330 controller provides 12Gb/s SAS and SATA storage connectivity
  • 8-bay 2.5-inch 1U chassis maximizes rack density for space-efficient deployment
  • Dual 550W platinum power supplies with iDRAC9 Express enable resilient remote management

Compact 1U Rack Server

The Dell EMC PowerEdge R440 is a 1U rack server built for dense data-centre deployments. It targets organisations running virtualisation, cloud services or storage workloads that need high core counts in minimal rack space.

Dual 16-Core Xeon Thermals

Two Intel Xeon Gold 6130 processors run at 2.1 GHz with a 3.7 GHz turbo across 16 cores each. Redundant 550 W platinum power supplies share the load to keep thermals stable and fan noise predictable under sustained enterprise workloads.

HBA330 Storage Controller

The Dell PERC HBA330 12Gb/s SAS/SATA controller manages up to eight 2.5-inch drive bays currently populated with fillers. iDRAC 9 Express provides remote monitoring and administration without requiring a separate management appliance.

Questions about this item

How do I install the DDR4 memory modules and what step is commonly missed?

Install the 32 GB DDR4-2666 ECC registered DIMMs into the correct channels per CPU; the step often missed is populating all eight slots evenly across both processors for balanced performance.

Which component will need replacement first during long-term operation?

The two 550 W platinum power supplies are the primary field-replaceable units; fans and drive fillers may also require service over time.

What thermal limit appears first when the Xeon Gold 6130 CPUs run at 3.7 GHz turbo continuously?

The 1U chassis airflow and dual 550 W PSU cooling capacity become the limiting factor before the processors reach their maximum turbo frequency.
