It ships with 48 GB of DDR4 memory and two 300 GB 15K SAS drives managed by a PERC H730 RAID controller. The platform suits small-to-medium businesses consolidating virtual machines or hosting database instances where hot-plug drive bays and redundant power matter.

SAS Interface and PCIe Generation Limits

Eight 3.5-inch hot-plug bays accept SAS or SATA drives connected through the H730 controller at 12 Gbps. The controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60, but the backplane and drives operate at 6 Gbps. Expansion slots provide three PCIe 3.0 and two PCIe 2.0 lanes, so newer accelerators or network cards will negotiate down to the slower generation when placed in the 2.0 slots.

Memory and Storage Headroom

Installed memory reaches the per-processor maximum of 48 GB across six DIMM slots; adding a second processor would raise the system ceiling to 384 GB using all twelve slots. Drive bays can hold up to 80 TB of raw capacity, though the supplied 300 GB 15K spindles favour IOPS over volume. The 750 W redundant supplies handle the current configuration, but heavily populated bays and a second CPU will increase draw.
