1U rack server with dual Xeon E5-2620 V3 2.4GHz CPUs, 32GB DDR4, two 1TB SATA drives and H330 RAID controller
Installed Memory Size 32GB
HDD 2 x 1TB
The Dell PowerEdge R630 is a 1U rack-mount server system fitted with two six-core Intel Xeon E5-2620 V3 processors running at 2.4GHz. It ships with 32GB of DDR4 memory installed across its 24 DIMM slots and includes two 1TB 7.2K RPM SATA drives managed by a PERC H330 RAID controller supporting levels 0, 1, 5, 10, 50 and 60. Dual 750W hot-swap power supplies provide redundancy.
This configuration fits organisations that want a compact dual-processor platform with redundant power and hardware RAID for SATA or SAS drives. The eight 2.5-inch hot-plug bays and 24 memory slots allow storage and RAM expansion within the 1U footprint. Buyers who require more than three PCIe 3.0 add-in cards, integrated 10GbE networking without an NDC upgrade, or an operating system pre-installed should evaluate alternative platforms.
The installed CPUs deliver 24 virtual cores with hyper-threading and set the practical memory speed ceiling for the DDR4 DIMMs. The H330 controller handles RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, 50 and 60 across SATA or SAS drives. Remote management is provided by iDRAC8 with Lifecycle Controller. The system supports up to 1536GB of total memory when fully populated with compatible DDR4 modules.

Other versions of this model
Two Dell 1 TB 7.2K 6 Gbps 2.5-inch enterprise SATA drives come fitted in the hot-plug bays, so no extra drives are required for basic operation.
The board has 24 slots supporting 4 GB, 8 GB, 16 GB, 32 GB, 64 GB or 128 GB DDR4 modules up to 2400 MT/s; pick a module size that matches your target total and the processor’s memory-speed limit.
The H330 supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, 50 and 60; with only two drives you can configure RAID 0 for capacity or RAID 1 for redundancy.
