A 1U rack server with dual 16-core Xeon Silver 4314 CPUs at 2.4 GHz, 128 GB DDR4, H755 RAID and ten 1.8 TB SAS drives
The Dell PowerEdge R650 is a 1U rack server built for dense virtualization and database clusters. Dual Xeon Silver 4314 processors provide 32 cores total at 2.4GHz with 3.4GHz turbo. 128GB of DDR4 2666MHz ECC memory and ten 1.8TB SAS drives on a PERC H755 controller deliver high-throughput storage for memory-intensive applications.
Ready Rails allow single-person rack mounting in standard cabinets. All ten 2.5-inch drive bays and both 1400W platinum power supplies are hot-swappable for zero-downtime maintenance. The H755 RAID controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60; misconfigured arrays are the most common setup issue, so verify the intended level before initializing the volume.
The server requires a 12Gb/s SAS backplane to saturate the 1.8TB 10K drives and the H755 controller. Network connectivity uses a dual-port 10GbE SFP+ OCP 3.0 card, so your top-of-rack switch must provide compatible SFP+ transceivers and cabling. Ensure the rack supplies adequate airflow for 1U density and that the PDU can deliver redundant 1400W feeds.

Use iDRAC 9 Enterprise to verify both Silver 4314 CPUs report 16 cores at 2.4 GHz, all 128 GB DDR4 memory is detected, and the PERC H755 shows 10 drives in a healthy RAID set.
The 1U chassis ships with 2× Xeon Silver 4314, 8× 16 GB DDR4 DIMMs, 10× 1.8 TB SAS drives, H755 with 8 GB cache, 57412 dual 10 GbE SFP+ OCP card, 2× 1400 W PSUs, rails and bezel. Add an OS licence and SFP+ transceivers.
The unit is factory-populated with ten 1.8 TB 10 K SAS drives; no other capacity is offered for this SKU.
