A 1U rack server with ten 2.5" drive bays, dual 12-core Xeon Silver 4310 CPUs, 512GB DDR4 ECC memory, PERC H745 RAID controller, dual 10GbE SFP+ networking.
The Dell PowerEdge R650xs packs dual 12-core Xeon Silver 4310 processors and 512 GB of DDR4 ECC memory into a single rack unit. Ten front-accessible 2.5-inch trays accept SAS or SATA drives for flexible capacity. Integrated iDRAC9 Enterprise enables remote lifecycle management without a separate console. This density suits virtualization clusters and cloud infrastructure where rack space is at a premium.
The PERC H745 controller provides 4 GB of battery-backed NV cache to absorb write bursts and maintain consistent IOPS under continuous load. Dual 1400 W platinum power supplies share the load and keep the server running if one unit fails. The Broadcom 57412 dual-port 10 GbE SFP+ adapter sustains high network throughput for east-west traffic. Thermal design keeps both CPUs at turbo frequencies during prolonged compute tasks.
Only ten drive slots are available, so total raw capacity and spindle count are capped at this number. The H745 supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60, but the bay count limits the maximum array width and rebuild parallelism. Buyers who need more storage density must choose a 2U or larger platform.

The server uses redundant hot-swap 1400 W platinum power supplies and two 12-core Xeon Silver 4310 CPUs; fan speed scales with thermal load from those components and the 512 GB DDR4 memory.
The OCP 3.0 card provides two SFP+ ports for 10 GbE connectivity; you must supply compatible SFP+ transceivers and cables, plus a switch with matching 10 GbE SFP+ ports.
The H745 supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60 and connects to the ten 2.5" SAS/SATA trays, so your current SAS or SATA drives will work directly.
