Dense 1U compute node

The Dell PowerEdge R650xs is a 1U rack server configured with two Intel Xeon Gold 6338 processors and 512GB of DDR4 memory. It fits ten 2.5-inch drive bays and includes dual 1400W redundant power supplies. The system is managed through iDRAC9 Enterprise and ships with rails and bezel.

Virtualisation and dense analytics

This configuration suits teams running virtualised workloads, container platforms or dense analytics that benefit from high core counts and large memory in a single rack unit. Buyers who need GPU acceleration, NVMe-only storage or more than two processor sockets should look at alternative platforms.

Ten SATA SSDs on PERC H745

The storage layer uses ten 960GB SATA SSDs connected to a Dell PERC H745 controller with 4GB NV cache and battery backup. RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 are supported. If the workload requires NVMe drives or a different controller, this server will not match.
