A 1U rack server with dual Xeon Gold 5317 3.0GHz 12-core CPUs, 256GB DDR4, PERC H745 RAID, and ten 1.8TB SAS drives
The Dell PowerEdge R650xs fits two Intel Xeon Gold 5317 processors into a single rack unit. Each CPU runs at 3.0 GHz with 12 cores and a 3.6 GHz turbo frequency. The system targets virtualization, cloud infrastructure and data-analytics workloads that demand high core counts in minimal space.
Eight 32 GB DDR4 2933 MHz registered ECC modules populate half the DIMM slots, leaving room to scale to the 1 TB maximum. The PERC H745 RAID controller with 4 GB NV cache manages ten 1.8 TB 10K SAS drives in RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 or 60. Builders who need more storage bays or NVMe boot devices should look elsewhere.
Redundant hot-swap power supplies operate at platinum efficiency under normal load. The quad-port 1 GbE OCP 3.0 adapter and iDRAC9 Enterprise handle network and remote-management traffic. Buyers requiring GPU acceleration or 10 GbE connectivity will need a different configuration.

Yes, the R650xs is a standard 1U rack server, so it occupies the same height as other 1U units you already have.
Open the iDRAC9 Enterprise web interface or the controller BIOS during boot; both will list each 1.8 TB drive and show the configured RAID level.
Ready rails and the front bezel are included; you only need to provide your own power cords and network patch cables.
