A 1U rack server with dual 28-core Xeon Gold 6330 CPUs, 128 GB DDR4, ten 960 GB SATA SSDs on an H745 RAID controller, dual 10 GbE SFP+ ports, iDRAC9 Enterprise and redundant 1400 W power supplies
The Dell PowerEdge R650xs is a 1U rack server built for dense compute environments. Two Intel Xeon Gold 6330 processors run at 2.0 GHz with a 3.1 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 128 GB of DDR4 2933 MHz registered ECC memory across eight 16 GB modules. Ten 960 GB SATA SSDs and a PERC H745 controller with 4 GB NV cache provide high-speed storage in a compact form factor.
This configuration suits virtualisation clusters, cloud infrastructure and dense data analytics that need many cores and fast local storage in one rack unit. The 10-drive bay layout and dual 10 GbE SFP+ ports support high-throughput east-west traffic. Buyers who need more memory capacity than 128 GB or who require NVMe instead of SATA SSDs should evaluate other configurations. GPU acceleration is optional but not included in this build.
The two installed Gold 6330 processors deliver 28 cores each and set the performance ceiling for this configuration. Memory scales to 1 TB across 16 DDR4 slots when additional DIMMs are added. The PERC H745 supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 for flexible data protection. Dual 1400 W platinum power supplies and iDRAC9 Enterprise complete the platform.

Yes, the H745 connects to the ten 960GB SATA 6Gb/s SSDs through a SATA 6Gb/s backplane, so each drive is capped at 6 Gb/s.
The server ships with Ready Rails sliding rails and a front bezel for standard four-post rack installation.
Install the first CPU in socket CPU1, populate its eight DIMM slots with the 16GB modules, then install the second CPU in socket CPU2; skipping CPU1 leaves the system unbootable.
