A 1U rack server with dual Xeon Gold 6338 32-core CPUs, 256GB DDR4, eight 1.8TB SAS drives and dual 1400W power supplies
The Dell PowerEdge R650xs packs two Intel Xeon Gold 6338 processors, each with 32 cores running at 2.0 GHz and a 3.2 GHz turbo frequency, into a 1U rack form factor. 256 GB of DDR4 3200 MHz registered ECC memory is installed across eight 32 GB modules. This density suits virtualization clusters, cloud infrastructure and data-analytics workloads that demand high core counts in minimal rack space.
Confirm the facility can supply two 1400 W platinum-efficiency hot-swap power supplies and that the rack provides 1U of vertical clearance with compatible square-hole or threaded rails. The included Broadcom 57412 dual-port 10 GbE SFP+ OCP 3.0 card requires matching SFP+ transceivers and cabling. Ensure the operating environment meets the server’s thermal specifications before deployment.
The PERC H745 RAID controller with 4 GB non-volatile cache and battery backs RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 across the eight 1.8 TB 10 K SAS drives. iDRAC 9 Enterprise enables remote power control, firmware updates and hardware health monitoring without an OS. ReadyRails sliding rails and a front bezel ship in the box for immediate rack mounting.

The server ships with two Xeon Gold 6338 processors, 256GB DDR4 memory, eight 1.8TB SAS drives, H745 RAID controller, dual 10GbE SFP+ OCP card, iDRAC9 Enterprise, two 1400W power supplies, rails and bezel. No additional components are included.
This configuration is fixed with two 32-core Xeon Gold 6338 CPUs at 2.0GHz, 256GB DDR4 across eight DIMM slots, eight 1.8TB 10K SAS drives and the H745 controller with 4GB cache. Memory can expand to 1TB total.
Each Xeon Gold 6338 can boost from its 2.0GHz base to 3.2GHz when thermal headroom allows, accelerating bursty workloads such as database queries or compilation while sustained loads run at base frequency.
