The Dell PowerEdge R650xs packs two Intel Xeon Gold 6338 processors and 64GB of DDR4 memory into a single rack unit. Thirty-two cores running at 2.0GHz with 3.2GHz turbo deliver strong multi-threaded throughput for virtualization and dense data analytics. The 1U form factor leaves maximum rack space for additional nodes.

Hot-swap drive bay and redundant power

Ten 2.5-inch bays accept SATA SSDs and are served by a PERC H745 controller with 4GB NV cache supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. Dual 1400-watt platinum power supplies and hot-swap fans keep the system running during component replacement. A quad-port 1GbE OCP 3.0 card and iDRAC9 Enterprise provide out-of-band management and network connectivity.
