1U rack server with dual 12-core Xeon Silver 4310 CPUs, 256 GB DDR4, eight 1.92 TB SATA SSDs on an H745 RAID controller, dual 10 GbE SFP+ ports, iDRAC9 Enterprise, and redundant 1400 W power supplies
The Dell PowerEdge R650xs is a 1U rack server fitted with two Intel Xeon Silver 4310 processors running at 2.1 GHz with 12 cores each. It ships with 256 GB of DDR4 2666 MHz registered ECC memory and eight 1.92 TB SATA solid-state drives managed by a PERC H745 RAID controller with 4 GB non-volatile cache. Dual 1400 W platinum power supplies, a Broadcom 57412 dual-port 10 GbE SFP+ OCP 3.0 card and iDRAC9 Enterprise remote management complete the configuration.
This server suits organisations that need dense compute and all-flash storage in a single rack unit for virtualisation, database or analytics workloads. Buyers who require NVMe or SAS drive support, GPU acceleration or more than two processors should evaluate other platforms. The fixed 1U height also limits internal expansion compared with 2U designs.
Eight 1.92 TB SATA SSDs behind a single PERC H745 controller set the raw capacity and drive-type boundary for this build. If the workload demands NVMe performance, SAS connectivity or a larger drive count, this chassis cannot meet that requirement.

| AI capability | 8 × 1.92 TB SATA SSD |
Each supply is rated at 1400 Watt Platinum efficiency; actual draw depends on workload but the redundant hot-swap design keeps the server running if one unit fails.
The card uses two SFP+ ports; you must provide compatible 10GbE SFP+ transceivers and matching switch ports or direct-attach cables.
The H745 supports SATA and SAS drives; the eight 2.5-inch bays accept both interfaces, so legacy SAS SSDs or HDDs can be used alongside the installed SATA SSDs.
