A 1U rack server with dual 20-core Xeon Silver 4316 processors, 64GB DDR4, eight 960GB SATA SSDs on a PERC H745 controller, dual 10GbE SFP+ networking, iDRAC9 Enterprise.
The Dell PowerEdge R650xs is a 1U rackmount server fitted with two Intel Xeon Silver 4316 processors. Each CPU runs at 2.3 GHz with a 3.4 GHz turbo frequency and provides 20 cores, giving 40 cores total. The system ships with 64 GB of DDR4 2666 MHz registered ECC memory across four 16 GB modules. It targets virtualization, cloud infrastructure and data-analytics workloads that need high core counts in a single rack unit.
Eight 2.5-inch 960 GB SATA 6 Gb/s enterprise SSDs occupy the front drive bays. The Dell PERC H745 controller with 4 GB non-volatile cache and battery backs RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. Because the drives use the SATA interface, throughput is capped at the SATA 6 Gb/s link speed rather than NVMe or SAS bandwidths. Usable capacity and fault tolerance depend on the RAID level chosen.
Confirm your rack can accommodate a 1U chassis with the included sliding rails and front bezel. The dual 1400 W platinum power supplies require compatible PDU outlets and circuits rated for the combined load. Network connectivity uses a Broadcom 57412 dual-port 10 GbE SFP+ OCP 3.0 card, so ensure your top-of-rack switches have matching SFP+ ports and cabling. Remote management relies on iDRAC9 Enterprise over a dedicated management network.

The server ships with two Xeon Silver 4316 processors, each 20 cores at 2.3 GHz with 3.4 GHz turbo, giving 40 cores total; the board supports a maximum of two processors.
64 GB is installed as four 16 GB registered ECC DDR4 modules at 2666 MT/s; the platform can scale to 1 TB across 16 slots for larger datasets.
The H745 supports RAID 0/1/5/6/10/50/60 with 4 GB NV cache; the eight 960 GB SATA drives connect at 6 Gb/s, so array throughput caps at the SATA link speed.
