Dual 14-core Xeon server for virtualisation

This 2U rack server ships with two Intel Xeon E5-2683 v3 processors, each running at 2.0 GHz with 14 cores and a 3.0 GHz turbo frequency. The system targets midsize and large enterprises running data warehouses, e-commerce platforms, virtual desktop infrastructure or high-performance computing workloads. It arrives fully populated with 512 GB of DDR4 2133 MHz registered ECC memory across 16 modules, leaving eight additional slots open for future expansion up to 1.5 TB.

Dell PERC H730 controller

Storage is handled by a Dell PERC H730 1 GB mini controller supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60 and pass-through modes. Eight 2.5-inch enterprise SAS hard drives spinning at 10 K rpm provide 1.2 TB each on a 12 Gb/s interface. The controller includes a battery-backed cache, and the chassis supports 12 Gb/s SAS and SATA devices for additional arrays.

Quad-port 1 GbE and 10 Gb SFP+ networking

A Dell Intel X520/I350 daughter card delivers two 1 GbE ports and two 10 Gb SFP+ ports for flexible fabric connectivity. Remote management is provided by iDRAC8 Enterprise with dedicated network access. Dual hot-swap 750 W platinum power supplies and ready rails with a front bezel are included for immediate rack deployment.
