Dual 14-core Xeon server for virtualisation

This 2U rack system ships with two Intel Xeon E5-2683 v3 processors running at 2.0 GHz with 3.0 GHz turbo, giving 28 cores total. It targets midsize and large enterprises running data warehouses, e-commerce platforms, virtual desktop infrastructure or high-performance computing nodes. The platform supports up to two processors and 1.5 TB of DDR4 memory.

768 GB DDR4 ECC with hot-swap bays and redundant

Twenty-four 32 GB registered ECC modules fill every slot at 2133 MHz. The PERC H730 controller with 1 GB cache manages eight 300 GB 10K SAS drives in the front 2.5-inch hot-swap bays and supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. Dual 750 W platinum supplies and iDRAC 8 Enterprise provide power redundancy and remote management. A quad-port network daughter card adds two 1 GbE and two 10 Gb SFP+ connections.

Verify rack depth, rail clearance

The unit includes ready rails and a front bezel but you must confirm the rack can accommodate the chassis depth and that the rail kit matches your cabinet. All eight drive bays use SAS; ensure your backplane or cabling matches the H730 connector layout. Memory is fully populated at 768 GB, so any expansion requires replacing existing modules. Network uplinks use SFP+ transceivers not included.
