A 2U rack server with dual 16-core Xeon processors at 2.1 GHz, 768 GB DDR4 memory, eight 2.5-inch drive bays, PERC H730 RAID controller, quad-port 1 GbE and 10 GbE networking.
Installed Memory Size 768GB
HDD 2 x 300GB 10K SAS
The Dell PowerEdge R730 is a 2U rack server built for midsize and large enterprises running data warehouses, e-commerce platforms, virtual desktop infrastructure, databases or high-performance computing nodes. Dual Intel Xeon E5-2683 v4 processors deliver 32 cores at 2.1 GHz with 3.0 GHz turbo capability for demanding multi-threaded workloads.
The system ships with 768 GB of DDR4 2400 MHz registered ECC memory across 24 slots, leaving room to expand to 1.5 TB. A PERC H730 1 GB controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60 and pass-through on the eight 2.5-inch SAS bays, while an Intel X520/I350 daughter card adds two 1 GbE and two 10 Gb SFP+ ports. Dual 750 W platinum hot-swap supplies, iDRAC8 Enterprise, rails and a front bezel complete the package.
Verify that your rack provides 2U of space and compatible mounting rails for the included hardware. Confirm that your network infrastructure can terminate SFP+ links for the 10 GbE ports and that your storage plan accounts for the two 300 GB 10 K SAS drives already installed. Ensure the operating environment meets the server's power and cooling requirements for dual 750 W supplies.

Other versions of this model
The PERC H730 runs at 12Gb/s SAS, which caps the maximum throughput of the installed 300GB 10K drives and any SAS or SATA drives you add.
The server is a 2U rack unit that fits a standard 4-post rack; Ready Rails and a front bezel are included for slide-in mounting.
The 768GB fills all 24 slots with 24 × 32GB DDR4 2400MHz Registered ECC DIMMs; the step often missed is populating every slot evenly across both CPUs for full bandwidth.
