2U rack server with dual 10-core Xeon processors at 2.6 GHz, 768 GB DDR4 ECC memory, eight 400 GB SATA SSDs on an H730 RAID controller, quad-port 1 GbE and 10 GbE networking.
The PowerEdge R730 is a 2U rack system fitted with two Intel Xeon E5-2660 v3 processors. Each chip runs at 2.6 GHz with 10 cores and reaches 3.3 GHz turbo. It targets midsize and large enterprises running data warehouses, e-commerce platforms, virtual desktop infrastructure, databases or high-performance computing nodes.
Memory ships as 24 modules of 32 GB DDR4-2133 registered ECC, filling every slot for 768 GB total; the platform supports up to 1.5 TB. The PERC H730 controller with 1 GB cache manages eight 400 GB SATA SSDs in 2.5-inch bays and offers RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60 plus pass-through modes.
Dual 750 W platinum hot-swap supplies give redundancy without downtime. An Intel X520/I350 daughter card adds two 1 GbE and two 10 Gb SFP+ ports. iDRAC8 Enterprise provides full remote management. Ready Rails and a front bezel are included for immediate rack mounting.
