2U rack server with dual 12-core Xeon Silver 4310 CPUs, 64 GB DDR4, H755 RAID controller, 24 SATA/SAS trays, quad 1 GbE OCP 3.0 NIC, iDRAC9 Enterprise, dual 1400 W PSUs, rails and bezel
The Dell PowerEdge R750 is a 2U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon Silver 4310 processors running at 2.1 GHz with 12 cores each. It ships with 64 GB of DDR4 2666 MHz registered ECC memory across four modules. The system includes a PERC H755 RAID controller with 8 GB NV cache and supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60.
This configuration replaces single-socket servers or earlier 14G platforms when workloads demand 24 cores and dual-socket memory bandwidth. The jump is worthwhile for virtualization clusters, database nodes and compute-heavy applications that can use the second processor and the 32 available DIMM slots. Buyers who need more than two processors or higher core counts per socket cannot be served by this chassis.
The platform uses PCIe Gen4 for internal expansion and an OCP 3.0 slot for the included Broadcom 5720 quad-port 1 GbE network card. Storage connectivity is limited to SATA and SAS through the 24 front 2.5-inch drive bays and the H755 controller. NVMe drives are not supported by this controller or backplane. The two 1400 W platinum power supplies provide redundant hot-swap power for the fully populated configuration.

The server occupies 2U of rack height and ships with Ready Rails for standard rack installation.
Both LGA 4189 sockets are already populated with the 2.1GHz 12-core CPUs; the 64GB ships as four 16GB DDR4 2666MHz Registered ECC DIMMs pre-installed in the 32 available slots, so the common mistake is assuming you must seat processors or memory yourself.
The 24 front 2.5-inch SAS/SATA drive trays, the two 1400-watt platinum power supplies, and the PERC H755 controller's battery-backed 8GB NV cache are all hot-swappable and designed for field replacement.
