DELL PowerEdge R750 2U 12-Bay 2x Xeon Silver 4310 1TB DDR4 12x 8TB HBA355i

Purpose-built 2U server

The Dell PowerEdge R750 is a 2U rack server configured with two Intel Xeon Silver 4310 processors, each offering 12 cores at 2.1 GHz with 3.3 GHz turbo. It ships with 1 TB of DDR4 registered ECC memory and twelve 8 TB 7.2K SATA hard drives managed by a PERC HBA355i pass-through controller. The system includes dual 10 GbE SFP+ networking, iDRAC9 Enterprise remote management, and redundant 1400 W platinum power supplies.

Installation notes

The unit arrives fully assembled with rails and front bezel included, so rack mounting follows standard 2U procedures. The HBA355i controller provides SAS12 Gb/s pass-through only; it does not perform hardware RAID, so any array creation must be handled by the operating system or a separate RAID controller. Memory slots are populated with 32 x 32 GB DIMMs; further expansion up to the platform maximum requires compatible DDR4 registered ECC modules.

Pre-order checks

Verify that your rack provides sufficient depth and airflow for a 2U chassis with redundant hot-swap power supplies. Confirm that your network infrastructure supports SFP+ 10 GbE connectivity for the OCP 3.0 dual-port adapter. Ensure the operating system or hypervisor you plan to deploy can manage software RAID or JBOD volumes presented by the HBA355i controller.
