A 2U rack server with dual Xeon Silver 4314 processors, 256GB DDR4, PERC H755 RAID and twelve 4TB 3.5" SATA drives
The Dell PowerEdge R750 is a 2U rackmount server built for data-intensive enterprise workloads. It ships with two Intel Xeon Silver 4314 processors, each offering 16 cores at 2.4GHz with a 3.4GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 256GB of DDR4 2666MHz registered ECC memory across eight 32GB modules. Twelve 3.5-inch drive bays come populated with 4TB 7.2K SATA enterprise hard drives.
Dual 1400W platinum-efficiency power supplies provide hot-swap redundancy for continuous operation under load. The PERC H755 RAID controller with 8GB NV cache and battery backup maintains write performance and data integrity during extended write-heavy tasks. The Broadcom 5720 quad-port 1GbE OCP 3.0 adapter delivers consistent network throughput for virtualisation traffic. iDRAC9 Enterprise enables remote monitoring and management without impacting host resources.
PCIe Gen4 doubles I/O bandwidth for the H755 controller and OCP 3.0 card, supporting high-throughput storage and networking. The 12-bay 3.5-inch chassis limits drive selection to SATA and SAS form factors; 2.5-inch NVMe configurations require a different chassis. Maximum memory capacity reaches 2TB across 32 DDR4 DIMM slots, but only 256GB is installed. Buyers needing all-flash NVMe arrays or higher single-thread clock speeds should evaluate alternative platforms.

The server includes two 1400 Watt Platinum efficiency power supplies with hot-swap redundancy to handle sustained load from both Silver 4314 processors.
Ready Rails and a front bezel are included, and iDRAC 9 Enterprise is factory-licensed for remote management.
The PERC H755 supports RAID 0/1/5/6/10/50/60 on SATA and SAS drives, so compatible 3.5" SATA disks can be added to the 12-bay chassis.
