2U rack server with dual Xeon Gold 5317 12-core processors, 256GB DDR4 memory, PERC H755 RAID controller and twelve 4TB 3.5-inch SATA drives
The Dell PowerEdge R750 is a 2U rack server built for enterprise workloads. It ships with two Intel Xeon Gold 5317 processors, each running at 3.0 GHz with 12 cores. The system includes 256 GB of DDR4 2933 MHz registered ECC memory across eight slots. A PERC H755 controller manages twelve 4 TB 7.2K SATA hard drives. Dual 1400 W platinum power supplies and iDRAC9 Enterprise remote management come standard.
The PERC H755 RAID controller provides 8 GB of non-volatile cache backed by a battery, enabling consistent write performance under RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. Twelve 3.5-inch enterprise drives deliver steady sequential throughput for databases, analytics and virtualisation workloads. PCIe Gen4 lanes double bandwidth for the controller and the dual-port 10 GbE SFP+ OCP 3.0 network adapter, reducing bottlenecks during prolonged data movement.
Redundant hot-swap power supplies and hot-swap drive bays allow component replacement without downtime. The 2U chassis includes ready rails and a front bezel for standard rack mounting. iDRAC9 Enterprise provides out-of-band management over a dedicated network port. The Broadcom 57412 OCP 3.0 card adds two 10 GbE SFP+ ports for high-speed fabric connectivity. Memory scales to 2 TB across 32 DDR4 slots for future expansion.

Two platinum-efficiency 1400 W units share the load, and hot-swap fans scale with CPU temperature, so noise and heat stay proportional to the actual workload.
The card presents two SFP+ ports; you need compatible SFP+ transceivers or direct-attach copper cables for each link you intend to activate.
The H755 supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 across mixed SATA and SAS devices; NVMe drives are not supported on this controller.
