Two-socket 2U rack server with sixteen 2.5-inch bays, dual Xeon Silver 4410Y CPUs, 1 TB DDR5 memory, H965i RAID controller, quad-port 1 GbE networking and redundant 1400 W power supplies
The Dell PowerEdge R760 is a 2U rack server built for virtualisation, AI, databases and software-defined storage. It ships with dual Intel Xeon Silver 4410Y processors, each offering 12 cores at 2.0 GHz with a 3.9 GHz turbo. The platform targets organisations that need dense compute and flexible storage in a standard rack footprint.
The system arrives with 1 TB of DDR5-4800 ECC registered memory populated across 32 slots, leaving headroom to reach the 8 TB maximum. Sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap bays accept SAS, SATA, SSD and NVMe drives, while the PERC H965i controller manages RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 with 8 GB NV cache. Storage density scales with drive selection; the four included trays are a starting point.
Redundant hot-swap 1400 W platinum units keep the server running through a single supply failure. The OCP 3.0 quad-port 1 GbE adapter and iDRAC9 Datacenter provide out-of-band management and network connectivity. Buyers needing higher-wattage supplies, additional OCP cards or pre-populated drives must source those separately.

Yes, the sixteen hot-swap bays support SAS, SATA, SSD and NVMe media, so existing 2.5" SAS or SATA drives can be installed directly.
Check the controller status in the iDRAC9 Datacenter interface and confirm the 8 GB NV cache shows healthy; the BIOS POST will also report the H965i firmware version and attached drive topology.
The box includes two Xeon Silver 4410Y CPUs, 1 TB DDR5-4800 ECC RDIMMs across 32 slots, the H965i controller with cache, four 2.5" drive trays, a quad-port 1 GbE OCP 3.0 card, iDRAC9 Datacenter, two 1400 W platinum PSUs, ready rails and front bezel; drives are not included.
