A 2U rack server with dual 16-core Xeon Gold 6426Y CPUs, 256 GB DDR5, PERC H965i RAID, quad-port 1 GbE, iDRAC9 Datacenter and redundant 1400 W power supplies
The Dell PowerEdge R760 is a 2U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon Gold 6426Y processors, each running at 2.5 GHz with a 4.1 GHz turbo frequency and 16 cores. It ships with 256 GB of DDR5-4800 ECC registered memory across 32 slots, expandable to 8 TB. The system includes a PERC H965i RAID controller with 8 GB NV cache, a quad-port 1 GbE OCP 3.0 network card and iDRAC9 Datacenter remote management.
Dual 1400 W platinum power supplies and hot-swap drive bays support continuous operation under heavy virtualization, database or AI loads. The H965i controller handles RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 for NVMe, SAS and SATA drives without performance throttling. Redundant cooling and power protect uptime during extended compute tasks.
Verify rack space for a 2U chassis and confirm 1400 W power supply compatibility with your PDU voltage and connector type. Ensure the OCP 3.0 mezzanine slot matches your network fabric and that DDR5-4800 ECC RDIMMs are used for any memory expansion. The PERC H965i requires NVMe, SAS or SATA drives in the 16 front bays; no drives are included.

Each supply is rated at 1400 watts platinum efficiency; actual draw depends on the workload placed on the two Xeon Gold 6426Y processors and the 256GB DDR5-4800 memory.
The chassis includes four 2.5-inch drive trays; you must provide up to sixteen SAS, SATA or NVMe drives plus any additional trays and cables required by the PERC H965i controller.
The Broadcom 5720 OCP 3.0 adapter provides four 1GbE ports for standard Ethernet uplinks, while the Gen5 slots accept current-generation expansion cards; legacy PCIe cards will operate at their native speeds.
