Dell SAS 6IR Hot-Swap Cable for PowerEdge T310

This genuine Dell original cable connects the SAS 6IR controller to the hot-swap drive backplane in PowerEdge T310 and PowerVault NX200 servers. It is a direct replacement part built to Dell specifications for those systems. Installers who need a different connector pinout or a cable for another server chassis should look elsewhere. ||

Signal Integrity and Airflow in Rackmount Use

The cable routes internally between the RAID card and the backplane without active cooling, so it adds no noise and draws no power of its own. Its length and shielding are designed to maintain clean SAS signalling inside the T310 or NX200 enclosure. Builders working in tighter or custom cases may find the fixed routing too restrictive.

Questions about this item

How do I install the SAS 6IR hot-swap cable in a PowerEdge T310?

Power down the server, open the chassis, disconnect the old backplane cable, route the new KNJKY cable along the same path, and seat both SAS connectors firmly into the controller and backplane.

What maintenance or replacement will the SAS 6IR hot-swap cable need later?

The cable is passive and has no scheduled replacement; inspect it during drive swaps and replace it only if the SAS connectors show bent pins or the sheathing is damaged.
