A tower server with an eight-core Xeon E5-2450 at 2.1 GHz, 64 GB DDR3, a Perc H710 RAID controller and dual 495 W supplies, supporting up to eight 3.5-inch hot-plug drives
Installed Memory Size 64GB
CPU Model E5-2450
The Dell PowerEdge T320 is a single-socket tower server built around an Intel Xeon E5-2450 eight-core processor running at 2.1 GHz. It ships with 64 GB of DDR3 memory across six DIMM slots and a Dell PERC H710 RAID controller with 512 MB cache. Dual 495 W redundant power supplies and eight hot-plug 3.5-inch drive bays complete the platform.
This configuration suits buyers who need a quiet tower form factor with hardware RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 or 60 and room for up to 64 TB of SATA or SAS storage. Builders who require a second physical CPU, GPU compute acceleration, or more than 64 GB of RAM should look at other platforms.
The installed 64 GB matches the maximum capacity supported by this specific processor and chipset combination. The six slots accept 2 GB, 4 GB, 8 GB, 16 GB or 32 GB DDR3 modules up to 1600 MT/s, but no further expansion is possible without changing the CPU.

Other versions of this model
The tower measures 23.42 inches long, 11.99 inches wide and 18.55 inches high; allow extra space at the front for drive insertion and at the rear for cable routing.
Install the H710 in the x16 PCIe 3.0 full-length slot; connect its two mini-SAS cables to the backplane before powering on, otherwise the array will not initialise.
All six slots are filled with the shipped 64GB; to reach 192GB you must remove the existing DIMMs and populate the six slots with 32GB DDR3 modules.
