A 5U rack server with dual 14-core Xeon E5-2660 v4 processors at 2.0GHz, 64GB DDR4, PERC H730P controller and four 960GB SATA SSDs in a 16-bay chassis
The DELL PowerEdge T430 is a 5U rack server system designed for enterprise workloads. It ships with two Intel Xeon E5-2660 v4 processors, each offering 14 cores at 2.0GHz with a 3.2GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 64GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory across four modules and a PERC H730P 2GB storage controller with battery backup. Four 960GB SATA SSDs are installed in the 16-bay 2.5-inch chassis.
This server suits IT teams running VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, or Proxmox VE virtualization clusters. It also fits Microsoft SQL Server deployments, file and print services, and backup infrastructure. Buyers who need more than 384GB of total memory capacity or require more than two physical processors should evaluate larger platforms. The 16 drive bays support SAS and SATA devices only, so workloads demanding other drive interfaces are not supported.
The installed Dell PERC H730P 2GB controller provides 12Gb/s SAS and SATA connectivity with RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60 plus pass-through mode. This single specification determines the storage performance and redundancy options available. Dual 750 Watt platinum power supplies deliver redundant hot-swap power, while iDRAC 8 Express enables remote management. The unit includes dual-port Gigabit Ethernet and PCIe expansion slots for additional hardware.

The T430 occupies 5U of rack space, so it will fit in a standard 42U cabinet leaving room for other equipment.
During POST the controller BIOS lists the H730P with its 2GB cache, and the iDRAC 8 Express inventory shows all four 960GB SATA SSDs as healthy.
The supplier notes state that the front bezel and ready rails are not included, so you will need to purchase those separately if required.
