A 5U rack server with dual 12-core Xeon E5-2650 v4 processors at 2.2GHz, 128GB DDR4 memory, four 960GB SATA SSDs and a PERC H330 storage controller
The Dell PowerEdge T430 is a 5U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon E5-2650 v4 processors running at 2.2 GHz with a 2.9 GHz turbo frequency. Each CPU provides 12 cores for a total of 24 cores. The system includes 128 GB of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory across eight 16 GB modules. Storage is handled by a Dell PERC H330 controller connected to four 960 GB SATA solid-state drives. Dual 750 W platinum power supplies provide redundancy.
This server suits organisations running VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, or Proxmox VE virtualisation clusters, as well as Microsoft SQL Server and other database hosting. The sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap bays support SAS and SATA drives for flexible storage expansion. Integrated dual-port Gigabit Ethernet and iDRAC 8 Express remote management simplify deployment. Buyers who require more than two processors, memory beyond 384 GB, or additional PCIe expansion beyond the provided slots should evaluate larger platforms.
The defining specification is the pair of Intel Xeon E5-2650 v4 processors, each delivering 12 cores at a 2.2 GHz base clock. This 24-core configuration determines the server's capacity for concurrent virtual machines, database threads, and compute-intensive applications. The LGA 2011 socket limits upgrades to the E5-2600 v3 and v4 families, so the installed CPUs represent the performance ceiling for this chassis.

Both LGA 2011 sockets are already populated with the two Xeon E5-2650 v4 processors, so no additional CPU can be added without replacing one.
During POST the H330 BIOS will list each 960 GB SATA SSD, and iDRAC 8 Express shows the same drives in its storage inventory once the OS loads.
The 128 GB (8×16 GB) DDR4-2400 ECC registered modules and the four 960 GB SATA SSDs come pre-installed; only front bezel and ready rails are not included.
