A 5U rack server with dual 14-core Xeon processors at 2.0 GHz, 256 GB DDR4 memory, four 960 GB SATA SSDs and an HBA330 controller
The Dell PowerEdge T430 is a 5U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon E5-2660 v4 processors, each running at 2.0 GHz with a 3.2 GHz turbo and 14 cores. It ships with 256 GB of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory across eight 32 GB modules, leaving four of twelve slots free for expansion up to 384 GB. The system targets virtualisation hosts, database workloads and file-serving roles that benefit from high core counts and large memory capacity.
Storage is managed by a Dell PERC HBA330 12 Gb/s SAS/SATA controller operating in HBA mode without onboard RAID processing. Four 960 GB 2.5-inch SATA SSDs are pre-installed in the front bays, leaving twelve additional 2.5-inch hot-swap bays available for SAS, SATA or SSD media. The controller presents drives directly to the operating system, so software RAID or a separate RAID card is required for hardware redundancy.
Two hot-swap 750 W platinum-efficiency power supplies provide N+1 redundancy and can be replaced without downtime. Integrated iDRAC 8 Express enables out-of-band remote console, power control and firmware updates over a dedicated management port. Dual embedded 1 GbE ports handle production traffic, while PCIe slots remain open for additional networking or storage adapters. The front bezel and rack rails are not included.

The server ships with 256 GB across eight 32 GB modules; twelve DDR4 slots are available and the platform supports up to 384 GB total.
Each Xeon E5-2660 v4 runs at 2.0 GHz base and can reach 3.2 GHz turbo across its 14 cores, giving strong single-thread and multi-thread performance for virtualization and databases.
The PERC HBA330 provides 12 Gb/s SAS/SATA connectivity, so the 6 Gb/s SATA SSDs operate at their full native speed without controller bottlenecks.
