Tower server with dual 8-core Xeon CPUs at 3.2 GHz, 384 GB DDR4 memory and H730 RAID controller in a 5U chassis with eight 3.5-inch drive trays
The Dell PowerEdge T430 is a 5U tower system built for small-office and remote-branch workloads such as file, print, mail and web serving. Two Intel Xeon E5-2667 v4 processors run at 3.2 GHz with a 3.6 GHz turbo across 8 cores each. The board holds 384 GB of DDR4 2400 MHz registered ECC memory across 12 slots.
Redundant hot-swap 750 W platinum power supplies share the load and keep the system running if one unit fails. The chassis uses Dell's standard 5U airflow design with no liquid cooling or oversized radiators. Power draw scales with the installed drives and add-in cards, so the supplies provide headroom for typical office configurations.
The PERC H730 1 GB mini controller brings 12 Gb/s SAS/SATA connectivity with battery-backed cache and supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through mode. Eight 3.5-inch drive trays are included without drives. Integrated Broadcom 5720 dual-port 1 GbE LOM handles network traffic, while iDRAC 8 Express gives out-of-band remote access for monitoring and firmware updates. A front bezel ships with the unit; plastic feet are not included.

Other versions of this model
Populate all 12 slots with the supplied 32 GB registered ECC modules at 2400 MHz; the common mistake is leaving gaps between channels, which prevents the system from reaching the 384 GB maximum.
The PERC H730 controller's 1 GB cache battery has a limited service life and will require replacement before the power supplies or fans typically need attention.
The 750 W platinum power supplies hit their current ceiling before the processors reach their internal thermal threshold, causing the system to throttle rather than overheat.
