Dell Precision 3510 Mobile Workstation

The Dell Precision 3510 is a 15.6-inch mobile workstation powered by an Intel Core i7-6820HQ processor running at 2.70GHz. It includes 8GB of memory and a 512GB solid-state drive. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed. The unit does not have a built-in webcam.

Suitable for Office and Legacy Software Users

This laptop suits professionals who need a traditional 15.6-inch form factor with VGA and HDMI video outputs for existing monitors or projectors. The 8GB memory and 512GB storage handle standard business applications and legacy engineering software. Buyers who require a webcam for video conferencing or a touchscreen for direct input should consider other models.

Straightforward Deployment

The system arrives with Windows 10 Pro already configured, so initial setup follows the standard out-of-box experience. Memory upgrades are possible using the two available slots, though the 8GB baseline may limit multitasking with large datasets. The absence of an optical drive and the older 802.11n wireless standard may require external adapters for certain network environments.

Questions about this item

Does the 512 GB SSD leave a free slot for a second drive?

The Precision 3510 has two memory slots but only one drive bay, so the 512 GB SSD occupies the sole storage position.

Will the 802.11n wireless card connect to my older 802.11g router?

Yes, the 802.11n adapter is backward compatible with 802.11g networks, though speeds will drop to the older standard.

How can I confirm the Intel HD Graphics are active after installing Windows 10 Pro?

Open Device Manager and verify Intel HD Graphics appears under Display adapters without a yellow warning icon.
