Precision 3561 workstation laptop

The Dell Precision 3561 is a 15.6 inch mobile workstation built for professionals who need certified application stability. An eight-core Intel Core i7-11800H processor reaches 4.60 GHz turbo frequency alongside 16 GB of memory and a 512 GB SSD. The dedicated NVIDIA RTX T600 graphics card drives a 1920 x 1080 FHD non-touch display. Windows 10 Pro comes pre-installed.

Dual Thunderbolt 4 ports

Two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports accept power input and carry high-speed data to external storage or docks. HDMI 2.0 outputs a second 4K display at 60 Hz. Two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one power-enabled, handle legacy peripherals. A uSD card reader, RJ-45 Ethernet and universal audio jack complete the physical I/O without requiring dongles.

Thunderbolt 4 bandwidth caps external GPU scaling

The Thunderbolt 4 interface limits PCIe throughput to four lanes, so external graphics enclosures cannot match internal RTX T600 performance. HDMI 2.0 restricts external 4K output to 60 Hz, ruling out high-refresh panels. The soldered 16 GB memory cannot be upgraded beyond the factory configuration. Buyers who need user-replaceable RAM or unrestricted eGPU bandwidth should consider alternative platforms.

Questions about this item

Will the 512 GB SSD need replacing as projects grow?

The 512 GB SSD is the only internal drive; adding a second M.2 module or moving to a larger single drive is the upgrade path when capacity runs out.

What stops the Core i7-11800H from holding 4.60 GHz on long renders?

The 8-core Tiger Lake CPU will hit its thermal ceiling first, causing clocks to drop below the 4.60 GHz turbo under sustained all-core load.

How loud and hot does the RTX T600 get when the laptop runs all day?

The dedicated RTX T600 and 45 W processor share a compact dual-fan chassis; expect audible fan ramp and surface temperatures rising above 45 °C during continuous workloads.
