Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the Precision 5510 — just the laptop and charger?

The laptop includes a 15.6" FHD IPS display, Intel Core i5-6300HQ processor, 8 GB DDR4 memory, 256 GB PCIe NVMe Class 40 SSD, NVIDIA Quadro M1000M 2 GB GDDR5 graphics, Windows 10 Pro, Intel 8260 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1, backlit keyboard, 3-cell battery, and integrated webcam.

Should I choose the 256 GB SSD or look for a larger drive for CAD work?

The 256 GB PCIe NVMe Class 40 drive boots Windows 10 Pro and loads project files quickly; if you store large assemblies locally, an external drive can supplement the internal capacity.

What does the 3.2 GHz turbo speed mean when I am rendering in SolidWorks?

The quad-core i5-6300HQ can reach 3.2 GHz on active cores, helping the Quadro M1000M 2 GB GDDR5 push viewport frames and finish moderate renders faster than base-clock operation.
