Mobile workstation for professionals

The Dell Precision 5530 is a 15.6-inch mobile workstation built around an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8850H six-core processor. It ships with 32 GB DDR4 memory and a 256 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD. A dedicated NVIDIA Quadro P1000 GPU with 4 GB GDDR5 handles professional graphics workloads. Windows 10 Pro comes pre-installed.

Creators needing certified drivers

This unit suits engineers, designers and analysts who rely on ISV-certified drivers for CAD, BIM or rendering applications. The Thunderbolt 3 and HDMI 2.0 ports support external displays and fast peripherals. Buyers who want more storage or a higher-resolution panel should look at something else. Gamers seeking consumer GeForce features will not find them here.

256 GB SSD and 32 GB RAM headroom

The 256 GB drive holds the operating system, core applications and active project files comfortably. Large media libraries or multiple virtual machines will require external storage. The 32 GB DDR4 allocation handles multi-tasking across heavy design suites and browser sessions. Memory-intensive simulation or point-cloud datasets may exceed the available capacity.
