Mobile workstation for engineering and design

The Dell Precision 5760 combines an 8-core Intel Core i7 11th Gen processor with a dedicated NVIDIA RTX A2000 GPU carrying 4GB GDDR6 memory. A 17.0 inch FHD+ display at 1920 x 1200 resolution provides a large canvas for CAD, rendering and data analysis. Windows 11 Pro is preinstalled on the 256GB SSD with 8GB of system memory.

Two Thunderbolt 4.0 Type-C ports

These connections allow fast external storage, multiple 4K displays and quick media offload without a dock. The integrated webcam supports video calls while the headphone jack and lock slot cover audio and physical security needs. No other video outputs or USB-A ports are listed in the specifications.

8GB soldered memory limits multitasking headroom

The installed 8GB cannot be upgraded, so large assemblies, heavy simulations or many concurrent applications will hit the ceiling quickly. Buyers who need more memory for their workflow should consider a different configuration. The 256GB SSD also fills fast with project files and may require external storage.

Questions about this item

Will the 8 GB of soldered memory need upgrading for heavier workloads?

The 8 GB is soldered and cannot be expanded, so the system will rely on the 256 GB SSD for paging once that limit is reached.

What stops the i7-11850H from holding its 4.8 GHz turbo during long renders?

The 4.8 GHz turbo is limited by the cooling capacity of the 17.0" chassis; sustained loads will drop clocks to stay within thermal limits.

How loud do the fans get when the RTX A2000 runs at full load all day?

The dual-fan design spins up to move heat from the RTX A2000 4 GB GDDR6 and CPU, producing audible airflow under continuous heavy use.
