Precision 5820 Xeon workstation for professional CAD

The Dell Precision 5820 is a tower workstation built around a four-core Intel Xeon W-2223 processor running at 3.60GHz. It ships with 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 1TB 7.2K SATA hard drive. An NVIDIA Quadro K620 graphics card handles professional visual tasks such as CAD, content creation and multi-display setups. Windows 11 Pro comes preinstalled for immediate use.

Build integration with expandable storage and memory

The chassis provides two 3.5-inch drive bays and two M.2 slots for additional storage devices. Memory can be expanded up to 128GB of DDR4 to support larger projects and heavier multitasking. Front-panel LEDs indicate power, Ethernet and USB activity for quick status checks. The system weighs 55 units and fits standard rack or floor placement.

Ready-to-work configuration with certified graphics

Windows 11 Pro is installed, configured and driver-validated before shipment so the workstation is operational on first boot. The Quadro K620 is certified for professional applications, delivering stable viewport performance and reliable multi-monitor support. Bundled accessories include a power cable and basic documentation. No additional software suites or management tools are included.

Questions about this item

Will the 16 GB DDR4 memory limit large CAD assemblies before I upgrade to the 128 GB maximum?

The installed 16 GB DDR4 handles typical CAD projects, and the board supports up to 128 GB DDR4 if your assemblies grow larger.

How much heat and fan noise does the Xeon W-2223 produce during all-day rendering?

The 4-core Xeon W-2223 at 3.60 GHz stays within its thermal envelope for continuous workloads; fan speed ramps only under sustained full-load rendering.

Do I need a DisplayPort monitor to use the Quadro K620 for multi-display setups?

The Quadro K620 drives professional multi-display configurations through its native DisplayPort outputs.
