Precision 7510 mobile workstation

The Dell Precision 7510 is a 15.6-inch mobile workstation built around an Intel Core i7-6820HQ processor at 2.70 GHz with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 512 GB SSD. It runs Windows 10 Pro and uses an Nvidia Quadro M1000M GPU with 2 GB of GDDR5 video memory. The anti-glare FHD panel covers 45 % colour gamut. The chassis supports two M.2 drives, one PCIe and one SATA or 2.5-inch.

Suits engineers on legacy ISV apps.

This unit fits engineers maintaining certified ISV applications that run on Pascal-era Quadro drivers and 2 GB VRAM. The four memory slots allow expansion to 64 GB DDR4 for larger datasets. Buyers who need more than 2 GB video memory for current rendering, simulation or AI workloads should look elsewhere. The lack of a webcam also rules out video-conferencing without an external camera.

Quadro M1000M 2 GB GDDR5 decides fit

The single specification that determines suitability is the Nvidia Quadro M1000M with 2 GB GDDR5 dedicated memory. That VRAM ceiling and the Pascal architecture define which professional applications will run acceptably. If the target software requires more video memory or newer GPU features, this workstation will not meet the requirement.
