Workstation laptop for professional workflows

The Dell Precision 7560 is a 15.6 inch mobile workstation built around an 8-core Intel Core i7-11800H processor with a 4.6 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 64GB of system memory and a 960GB solid-state drive running Windows 11 Pro. A dedicated NVIDIA T1200 graphics card with 4GB GDDR6 memory handles visual compute tasks.

Suited for CPU-heavy tasks.

This configuration suits engineers, analysts and developers who need strong multi-threaded CPU performance and large memory capacity for virtual machines, compilation or data processing. The 1366 x 768 HD panel limits detail for colour-critical design, photo editing or multi-window layouts. Buyers who need a sharper or larger workspace should consider a model with a higher-resolution display.

Sustained performance relies on thermal management

Under continuous load the eight cores can maintain elevated frequencies while the T1200 GPU accelerates supported professional applications. The 64GB memory buffer prevents swapping during long renders or simulations. System thermals and fan curves will determine how long peak clocks are held during extended workloads.

Questions about this item

Does the Precision 7560 require an external monitor to use the NVIDIA T1200 GPU?

No, the dedicated T1200 with 4GB GDDR6 drives the built-in 15.6" 1366x768 panel directly.

Will my existing 802.11ac router limit the laptop's wireless speed?

The laptop uses 802.11ac Wi-Fi, so it will connect at the router's maximum supported rate.

How can I verify the i7-11800H is reaching its 4.6 GHz turbo frequency under load?

Open Task Manager's Performance tab while running a demanding task and watch the CPU clock speed readout.
