Mobile workstation with 6-core i7

The Dell Precision 7720 is a 17.3-inch mobile workstation built around an Intel Core i7-8850H 6-core processor running at 2.6GHz. It comes with 32GB of DDR4 memory and a 1TB solid-state drive. Windows 10 Pro is installed and an AC adapter is included in the package.

Suits engineers needing screen area

This configuration serves professionals who need a large 1920x1080 display and 32GB of RAM for multitasking or virtual machines. Buyers who require a dedicated graphics processor, touchscreen input or a higher-resolution panel should consider other models.

1TB SSD capacity defines storage headroom

The single specification that decides fit is the 1TB solid-state drive. It determines how many large project files, datasets or virtual machine images can reside locally without external storage.

Questions about this item

Will the 8850H 6-core CPU throttle under sustained heavy workloads?

The i7-8850H runs at 2.6 GHz base frequency with 6 cores; thermal limits under continuous load depend on the Precision 7720 cooling design, which is built for mobile workstation use.

How loud and hot does the 17.3" workstation get during all-day operation?

The Precision 7720 chassis houses the 8850H and dedicated graphics; fan noise and surface temperatures rise with sustained load but remain within mobile workstation norms for a 17.3" form factor.

Which peripherals or docks are required to use the 7720 on a desk?

The unit includes the AC adapter and provides HDMI plus multiple USB ports; any external monitor, keyboard or mouse connects through those existing interfaces.
