Mobile Workstation — Precision 7730

The DELL Precision 7730 is a 17.3-inch mobile workstation powered by an Intel Core i7-8850H six-core processor with 9 MB L3 cache. It comes with 32 GB of memory and a 512 GB SSD, running Windows 11 Pro 64-bit. A dedicated NVIDIA Quadro P3200 graphics card with 6 GB video memory drives the non-touch FHD display at 1920 x 1080 resolution.

Suited for ISV-certified apps — not

Engineers, architects and content creators who rely on Quadro drivers for CAD, DCC or simulation workloads will find the 6 GB GPU and six-core CPU a practical match. The Grade B chassis shows visible wear, so buyers wanting a pristine appearance should look elsewhere. The 17.3-inch form factor and lack of touchscreen also make it a poor fit for frequent travellers or tablet-mode users.

GPU-deciding spec — Quadro P3200 6 GB

The NVIDIA Quadro P3200 with 6 GB dedicated video memory is the single component that determines whether this workstation fits a given workflow. ISV certification for major design and engineering applications hinges on this professional GPU, while the 512 GB SSD and 32 GB RAM provide a baseline that can be expanded later. If the Quadro P3200 meets the software vendor requirements, the rest of the platform supports it.
