Dell Precision 7730 motherboard with Core i7-8750H

This replacement board integrates an Intel Core i7-8750H processor running at 2.20 GHz with a 45 W thermal design. It targets technicians repairing a Dell Precision 7730 or compatible Inspiron 15 3501 chassis where the original board has failed.

Check BGA 1440 soldering

Verify that the laptop chassis uses the Intel Mobile CM246 chipset and accepts a BGA 1440 package before ordering. Confirm the four DDR4 memory slots match your existing modules and that the single M.2 expansion slot suits your storage plans.

Questions about this item

What comes with the LA-F601P motherboard and what must be sourced separately?

The board includes the soldered Core i7-8750H processor and four DDR4 memory slots; RAM modules, M.2 storage, cooling assembly and chassis are not included.

How do I choose between the listed versions or capacities?

This MPN RFDCG is a single configuration with the 6-core 2.20 GHz CPU and CM246 chipset; there are no alternative capacities or versions to select.

What does the 45 W TDP mean once the board is installed in a laptop?

The 45 W thermal design power matches the original Precision 7730 cooling solution, so the existing heatsink and fan must be reused to keep the i7-8750H within its thermal envelope.
