Precision 7760 Workstation

The Dell Precision 7760 is a 17.3 inch mobile workstation built for professionals who need certified graphics and a full-size keyboard. It runs Windows 11 Pro on an Intel Core i7 11850H with 16GB DDR4 and a 512GB NVMe SSD. The NVIDIA RTX A3000 6GB GDDR6 GPU targets CAD, rendering and simulation workloads. Grade B cosmetic condition means visible scratches or blemishes on the chassis and LCD.

Sustained Load Behaviour

The six-core processor reaches a 4.80 GHz turbo frequency while the RTX A3000 provides dedicated GDDR6 memory for compute tasks. Dual Thunderbolt 4 ports and three USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports allow high-throughput peripherals without bottlenecks. The 60 Hz FHD panel refreshes at a fixed rate during long sessions. Gigabit Ethernet and WiFi 802.11ax maintain network connectivity under continuous data transfer.

Interface Practical Limits

Thunderbolt 4 supports external GPUs and 8K displays through a single cable, though total bandwidth is shared across both ports. HDMI 2.1 and Mini DisplayPort 1.4 drive additional monitors at high resolutions. The 512GB NVMe SSD uses PCIe lanes that also serve the Thunderbolt controllers. No webcam is included, so video conferencing requires a separate USB device.

Questions about this item

How hot and loud does the Precision 7760 get when the i7-11850H runs at 4.80 GHz turbo all day?

The 6-core i7-11850H hits 4.80 GHz turbo; Dell's vapour-chamber cooling keeps the 17.3" chassis within workstation thermal limits during sustained loads.

Which peripherals and cables must I already own to use the Thunderbolt 4 and HDMI 2.1 ports on this unit?

You need Thunderbolt 4-certified cables for the two TB4 ports and an HDMI 2.1 cable for the HDMI output; USB 3.2 Gen 1 devices work on the three Type-A ports.

Will the RTX A3000 6GB GDDR6 drive my older 1080p 60 Hz monitors over Mini DisplayPort 1.4 without scaling issues?

Yes, the Mini DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 outputs natively support 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz, matching your existing displays exactly.
