Precision 7760 mobile workstation

The Dell Precision 7760 is a 17.3" mobile workstation built for engineers and creators who need reliable performance for 3D modelling, CAD and GPU-accelerated applications. It pairs an Intel Core i9-11950H processor with an NVIDIA RTX A3000 graphics card, 32GB of DDR4 memory and a 1TB NVMe SSD.

Sustained load behaviour

The i9-11950H runs at 2.60 GHz base frequency and works with the RTX A3000 to maintain throughput during long render or simulation sessions. With 32GB of DDR4 memory and a fast NVMe drive, the system keeps large assemblies and datasets in memory without excessive paging when plugged in.

Build and connectivity notes

The 17.3" 1920 x 1080 non-touch display gives ample workspace for detailed design review. At 4.1900 kg the chassis is substantial and intended for desk-based use, especially since the unit shows low battery health and performs normally only when connected to mains power. A webcam is included for remote collaboration.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the Precision 7760 get when the i9-11950H and RTX A3000 run at full load all day?

The 17.3" chassis and workstation cooling are built for sustained professional workloads, so the system manages heat and fan noise during long render or CAD sessions.

What power supply must I already own to run this laptop given the low battery health?

You need the original Dell barrel-type AC adapter that shipped with the Precision 7760 to keep the i9-11950H and RTX A3000 powered continuously.

Will my existing DDR4 SODIMM kits or NVMe drives work if I want to expand the 32GB memory or 1TB storage later?

The platform uses standard DDR4 SODIMM slots and an NVMe SSD slot, so compatible DDR4 modules and NVMe drives can be added or swapped.
