Workstation laptop for demanding workloads

The DELL Precision 7770 is a new 17.3-inch mobile workstation built around a 16-core Intel Core i9-12950HX processor that reaches 5 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with Windows 11 Pro and targets engineers, analysts and creators who need high multi-threaded performance in a portable chassis. The non-touch Full HD display provides a 1920 x 1080 workspace for detailed content review.

Silver chassis with integrated graphics and wireless

The silver finish covers a non-touch screen and a full-size keyboard with touchpad. An integrated webcam supports video calls while the graphics subsystem is built into the processor, meaning no discrete GPU is present. Connectivity includes 802.11ac wireless LAN and Bluetooth for peripherals. The 256GB SSD and 8GB of memory are the only storage and RAM installed.

Upgrade from dual-core or quad-core mobile systems

This unit replaces older mobile workstations limited to fewer cores and lower turbo speeds, cutting render and compile times for multi-threaded applications. The jump is worth it when workloads scale across 16 cores and the 5 GHz burst handles single-thread spikes. Buyers who need discrete graphics, larger local storage or more than 8GB of memory should look elsewhere.
