Precision M6700 workstation for mobile CAD

This 17.3-inch Dell Precision M6700 is a mobile workstation built around a quad-core Intel Core i7-3740QM processor, 16 GB of DDR3L memory and a 128 GB SSD paired with a 1 TB hard drive. It targets engineers and designers who need ISV-certified graphics and a large anti-glare display while moving between sites.

Straightforward component access

The chassis uses a bottom service door secured by captive screws, giving tool-less access to both memory slots and the 2.5-inch drive bays. The only common issue is the mSATA SSD slot located under the keyboard, which requires significant disassembly if the factory 128 GB module needs replacement.

Quadro K3000M with 4 GB DDR5 decides professional

The discrete NVIDIA Quadro K3000M GPU provides 4 GB of dedicated DDR5 video memory and driver optimisation for SolidWorks, AutoCAD and similar applications. Buyers who need more graphics memory or certified drivers for newer simulation workloads should look elsewhere.
